Chapel Garden and Columbarium

April, 2008, the Baptist Temple Chapel Garden Columbarium was dedicated and celebrated.   The Columbarium is not a new idea.  For centuries, English kings, heroes and notables have been interred within the churches and cathedrals of England.  The Columbarium in the Chapel Garden of Baptist Temple allows similar disposal of the cremated remains of our loved ones who are faithful members.  This attractive alternative to burial in a cemetery offers the family immediate access to the interment site of their loved ones.

The Columbarium is located within the Baptist Temple Chapel Garden where many find a place of quiet beauty for reflection, meditation and prayer.  Because our Chapel Garden is such an integral part of our church facility, quietly located adjacent to our Memorial Chapel, perpetual care is greatly simplified and insured.

Even though many of our church members have found our Columbarium to be their final place of internment, we still have several niches left

In addition to the niches, we have located next to the Columbarium a bronze memorial name space for those interred elsewhere but wish to be remembered as a part of the Baptist Temple family.

We still have several places for names of loved ones on the Memorial Plaque.

Please call Nancy Adkins in the church office (304) 346-9627 or e-mail ncadkins@chasbt.org  for more     information on how you can obtain a Memorial Plaque for a loved one or to purchase a niche to be interred next to the place many call their church home.
